Bbblob
Bbblob (pronounced blob) explores the rhythmic harmony of color and form, and the transient quality of emotions.
Bbblob is the sound water makes when it comes into contact with a surface. It suggests an organic form that is always evolving.
About the Artist
Jacelyn Zhen (b. 1993) is a Singaporean visual artist and designer based in London. Working under the moniker Bbblob (pronounced blob), she explores harmony through form and color in a practice that moves fluidly between painting and object-making. Spanning painting, sculpture, textiles, and murals, her work brings forms together in playful, balanced compositions inspired by natural shapes and symbolic imagery that shape collective perception. Through reinterpreting memory and ways of seeing, she reflects on how we relate to nature and one another, treating the act of assembling forms as an ever-shifting balance that embodies transience and change. Jacelyn holds an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art and has exhibited internationally at White Conduit Projects, London, and Uprise Art, New York. Her work has been featured in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (2023) and Singapore Art Week (2021), and she has completed mural commissions for clients including Capitaland and YouTrip.
