Scott Sueme (b. 1986) is a Canadian artist based in Vancouver, BC. After attending Emily Carr in 2006 Sueme has been working as a graphic artist and painter. Working predominantly in hard-edged painting, his process involves cut paper and projection as a means of investigating positive and negative gestures. Sueme’s work explores how discrete elements communicate through an active visual language, avoiding identifiable reference in favor of subjects that extend beyond context or direct representation.
