During their Uprise Art x MacArthur Place residency in Sonoma, Jessica Haye and Clark Hsiao took advantage of the sprawling gardens and surrounding trails to inspire their newest photographs. Their new work captures the poetry of the natural world through unique, often surreal perspectives altered by the reflection of light through the camera lens and, in some cases, through water.

Recently, in Sonoma County, and closer to home in Southern California, we’ve been applying our documentary impulse to making a collection of images focused on natural beauty and various ecologies.
