Uprise Artist Alex Proba brings a playful, maximalist aesthetic to her Portland home. A personal canvas full of vibrant patterns, this modern house in the woods is an eye-catching arrangement of color and form. Each room within the three-stories reflects the artist’s personality; from the custom murals throughout, to the bespoke sculptures of her dog. See the full tour below.
Our home has become my personal canvas full of vibrant colors and patterns, a place to enjoy for my little family and friends. Our kitchen and living room area is the most calm level of the three in terms of color and boldness, merging the outside forest with the interior through tall windows.
Upstairs is my favorite spot in the house. I love waking up surrounded by vibrant, yet calming, colors and patterns. Plus it’s featuring the artworks of many of my talented friends which makes it even more special.
The lower area of our house is my zen spot, with color blocking making it calm and peaceful compared to the lively patterns upstairs. This is where I find my quiet to be creative or just relax.
