Laura Berman (b. 1973) is a Kansas City-based artist. Her monoprints are hand-printed, drawing inspiration from the Flint Hills region, supernovae, and the connection between expanses and details within space. She is a professor at the Kansas City Art Institute, where she has taught in the Printmaking Department since 2002. Together with her husband, she runs Matfield Outpost, a family-friendly artist’s retreat in Matfield Green, Kansas. Her work has been featured in Contemporary American Printmakers, The Book of Probes, Printmaking at the Edge, and A Survey of Contemporary Printmaking.
