My studio practice is rooted in a love of painting and an exploration of the medium.
About the Artist
Diana Delgado (b. 1982) is an abstract painter whose work focuses on 'in-between' places that can exist in a painting. Her individual gestures or lines might be used to create a sense of rhythm as easily as it could describe the contour of an object in her large scale work. These layered pieces weave together described forms and recognizable imagery with painted patterns and gestures, emphasizing color and the specificity of these objects. Delgado earned her MFA in Painting from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA and currently lives and works in Westchester, New York.
