About the Artist

File 83314

Langdon Graves creates drawings and installations that are steeped in mysticism, domesticity, and a surrealist examination of the intersection of the tangible and the unknown. In the liminal space of her work, Langdon delicately weaves together symbolic details found in belief systems and the systems of the human body. Langdon is a Virginia-born, New York-based artist with a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MFA from Parsons School of Design, and is an adjunct faculty at Parsons and Visiting Professor at Pratt Institute. Langdon has had solo exhibitions in New York, Florida, Virginia, Arkansas, and Massachusetts and attended the Fountainhead Residency in Miami, the Kunstenaarsinitiatief Residency and Exhibition Program in the Netherlands, the Object Limited residency in Bisbee, Arizona and will attend STONELEAF retreat in summer 2021.
