Artists

  • Arantxa SolisMexico City, Mexico

With a background in architecture, Mexico City-based artist Arantxa Solis (b. 1990) began her painting practice with representational studies of landscapes and the human form, which have since evolved into an exploration of pure color, light, and volume. Her paintings are a continuous experiment in chromatic gradation, engaging viewers through subtle tonal shifts and fluid compositions.

  • Diana DelgadoNew York, NY

Diana Delgado (b. 1982) is a painter based in Bronxville, New York. Working primarily in oil paint, Diana's gestural abstract paintings are inflected with accents of representational imagery including architectural elements, and references to childhood such as balloons, ribbons and bows, and Christmas nostalgia. These ornamental items nod to the artist's sense of humor and add levity to the art historical monolith of abstraction. Diana's work is held in private and public collections internationally, and she currently serves on the Board of Directors for Black Ball Projects, a non-profit gallery supporting underexposed artists with mature practices. She holds an MFA from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and a BFA from Syracuse University.

  • Erin Lynn WelshBrooklyn, NY and Los Angeles, CA

Erin Lynn Welsh (b. 1984) depicts expressive impressions of the natural landscape. Comprised of broad gestural brushstrokes, Erin’s mark-making captures the unpredictability and volatility of nature while also offering a tool for abstraction, allowing her botanical forms to conjure a greater emotional resonance. Erin harnesses the historical symbology of the natural world, from the awesome power of the sublime landscape to the poignancy of a simple flower, to explore the contrast between beauty and violence.
