Dan Covert (b. 1981) is interested in pushing the emotional and formal limits of abstraction. Covert utilizes a graphic language of organic and decisive forms, and his work explores structuring and ordering these abstract shapes so they appear composed, yet spontaneous. His process leverages digital techniques to sketch and iterate forms, which he ultimately renders with meticulous detail using analog means. Covert lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.

Robert Otto Epstein (b. 1979) is a New Jersey-based artist whose work is heavily inspired by deconstructionist philosophy, writing, language, and systems, and the way these disciplines intersect. His gridded drawings and paintings began after becoming interested in instructional guides for knitting - the guides provide a coded plan for creation that is divorced from scale or context. Robert’s drawings on paper build up a “scaffolding” of between 23,000 and 38,000 individual, meticulously hand-drawn squares to create works that evoke pixelated JPGs or rich tapestries, finally removing what remains of the grid to bring the patterned object into focus. He studied philosophy and political science at the University of Pittsburgh and law at the University of Durham in the UK.

Erin D. Garcia is a visual artist based in Los Angeles. Garcia’s current body of work is an exploration of where the human capacity for abstraction intersects or conflicts with the sensory desire for specificity. Most recently, Garcia has exhibited his work at HVW8 Gallery (Los Angeles), Stacks, This Gallery (Los Angeles), and Guerrero Gallery (San Francisco). He has completed large-scale public installations for The Standard Hotel, Redbull Studios, Pepsi Culture Labs, RVCA, and the Ace Hotel, among others
