Liesl Pfeffer (b. 1979) is a Brooklyn-based visual artist from Brisbane, Australia, who constructs real and imagined places and objects through photography, collage, watercolor, yarn, and site specific installation. She holds a Bachelors of Photography from the Queensland College of Art (2006).
Read Full BioIn 2013, Liesl participated in the New York Foundation for the Arts’ Immigrant Artist Program. In 2014, she was a resident at the Wassaic Artist Residency in Wassaic, NY. Her solo exhibitions include: Hearts and Arrows at Kings ARI, Melbourne (2011); Souvenir at Queensland Centre for Photography, Brisbane (2011); and Souvenir at NO NO Gallery, Melbourne Australia (2010). Recent group exhibitions include: Montagnes Design, Nouvelles Inspirations at Couvent Sainte Cécile, Grenoble, France (2015); Grab Bag at Trestle Projects, Brooklyn, NY (2014); The Last Brucennial presented by the Bruce High Quality Foundation, New York, NY (2014); and Post-Photography: Beyond the Print at Target Gallery, Alexandria VA (2014).
Liesl received the Queensland Centre for Photography Graduate Prize (2005) and was a finalist in the Churchie Emerging Artist Award (2006).
