Clay Mahn (b.1988, Missoula, MT) lives and works in Chicago, IL. His practice combines painting, sculpture, and installation to playfully engage elements of language, abstraction, and repetition via simple motifs, materials, and forms. Mahn’s work has been exhibited internationally in group and solo exhibitions. Recent solo exhibitions include ‘Motion Pictures’ at TW Fine Art (Brisbane, AUS), ‘Dig, Dig, Dig’ at Comfort Station (Chicago), and ‘Softer Thoughts’ at Devening Projects (Chicago). Mahn holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BFA from The University of Montana’s College of Visual and Performing Arts.
