William Storms
William Storms takes us through his journey as an artist, from friendship bracelets to installations that span nine floors.
I am drawn to the moments where order falters; a thread out of place, a shift in the weave, a disruption in the code.
About the Artist
William Storms (b. 1991) is a textile artist based in Brooklyn, New York. With a foundation in Jacquard design at U.S. textile mills, William now creates handwoven sculptural works that merge the precision of code with the tactility of craft. His practice spans delicate Belgian linen and South African mohair to solid woods like walnut and pine, often incorporating found objects that carry traces of lived history. Embracing disruption as “beauty marks,” William’s work transforms material imperfections into narrative, balancing softness and structure within each piece.
