I am pursuing a vision that blurs the boundaries between painting and sculpting - offering an ever-evolving visual experience.
About the Artist
Lara Youssef Nabawy (b. 1996) is a Geneva, Switzerland-based artist exploring the human silhouette in abstract form, with each figure symbolizing a chapter, relationship, or moment suspended in time. Drawing on themes of memory, identity, and the complexity of human connection, her work is rooted in both personal introspection and cultural influence. Attuned to subtle details, shadows, organic patterns, and overlooked textures, Lara approaches the world with heightened sensitivity and curiosity. Her work is shaped by a multicultural upbringing and extensive travel. She uses sand gathered during her travels and integrates the material directly into her paintings, lending her forms a topographic texture that interacts dynamically with light, shifting the experience of the work depending on the time of day and surrounding environment.
