In Eddie Perrote's paintings, figurative abstraction and graphic symbolism blend together to create a personal narrative that brings form to emotional and physical sensations.
Nature is the greatest inspiration for my work. Like small biomes and habitats of unique areas I’ve found, my work creates a language unique to a world, an inclusive universe discovered through childlike wonder.
About the Artist
Eddie Perrote (b. 1991) is a New York-based artist with a background in graphic design, illustration, and printmaking. Drawing on this aesthetic sensibility, Eddie's paintings employ bold abstraction, text, and vivid use of color to explore personal narrative. His work draws on a range of influences including hand-painted signage and ephemeral graphics, photography, textiles, tapestries, Byzantine paintings, and Gothic architecture.
