About the Artist

anna-beeke

Anna Beeke (b. 1984) is a Los Angeles-based documentary and fine arts photographer. Her work captures ephemeral moments that examine the symbiotic relationship between humanity and their natural surroundings. Her vieled lighting, composed frames, and seemingly unaware subjects create a mystical narrative evocative of fairy tales, a nod to Beeke’s interest in, and study of, literature. In addition to distinguished honors, her work has been featured in several international exhibitions. Beeke holds an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in Photography, Video, and Related Media as well as a BA in English from Oberlin College.
