At the centre of my practice is an interest in how we locate ourselves within the places we inhabit, and how memory, identity and the natural world continue to shape one another.
About the Artist
Amber Hearn (b. 1987) is a visual artist working in Blue Mountain, Australia. She grew up in both Tamworth, regional New South Wales, and Papua New Guinea, where she was immersed in nature and developed a strong connection to land, and place. Drawing from personal history, motherhood and her long connection to the Australian bush, she creates works that move between interior and exterior worlds, using familiar forms, vessels, flowers and fragments of landscape as sites of emotional and symbolic meaning.
