I have a hard time coming to terms with the cycle of life, both as a participant and observer. This body of work explores experiences or ideas that I find comforting, while acknowledging the grieving process.
About the Artist
Layne Harris (b. 1997) is an abstract figurative painter based in the greater Los Angeles area. He graduated from ArtCenter College of Design with a BFA in Illustration and Fine Art in 2022. It was at ArtCenter that he began developing the visual language he uses today. Layne’s work is characterized by vibrant colors and heavily designed figures, which are often employs as a vehicle to depict emotional processing.
