About the Artist

File 120857

Ohni Lisle (b. 1985) is a Brooklyn, New York-based artist interested in depictions of the body. Distilling the figure into its simplest forms, Ohni utilizes a mix of materials from digital illustration to crayon, collage, gouache and vinyl paint. Elevating her figures to demigod-like status, Ohni’s genderless humans occupy a symbolic space in another realm that speaks to mythology, origin stories and cave painting.
