About the Artist

Mitch Paster (b. 1987) creates abstract photographs that investigate the creative possibilities behind ordinary materials and self-imposed limits. Recent exhibitions include: Form in Focus, Uprise Art at the Citigroup Center, New York; The Present Tense of Space, Lint-Roller, Brooklyn; the Affordable Art Fair, New York; Edge of Vision, Louisiana Art and Science Museum, Louisiana; and FMRS, SVA Gallery, New York. In 2013, he was a nominee for the Tierney Fellowship, as well as a guest lecturer for the School of Visual Arts, New York. In 2014 he held the “Artist in the Marketplace” residency at the Bronx Museum.
