Mitch Paster (b. 1987) creates abstract photographs that investigate the creative possibilities behind ordinary materials and self-imposed limits. Recent exhibitions include: Form in Focus, Uprise Art at the Citigroup Center, New York; The Present Tense of Space, Lint-Roller, Brooklyn; the Affordable Art Fair, New York; Edge of Vision, Louisiana Art and Science Museum, Louisiana; and FMRS, SVA Gallery, New York. In 2013, he was a nominee for the Tierney Fellowship, as well as a guest lecturer for the School of Visual Arts, New York. In 2014 he held the “Artist in the Marketplace” residency at the Bronx Museum.Read Full Bio
Paster received his BFA from the School of Visual Arts, New York in 2013. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
