In 2003, Lake attended an encaustics workshop at Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Aspen, Colorado and found the missing link to her creative process. Combining one of the oldest and most archival forms of painting with the digital darkroom, Lake’s work has been exhibited steadily since across the United States and abroad. She currently works and lives in New Orleans, Louisiana.
