Meg Callahan (b. 1989) attended the Rhode Island School of Design where she discovered her interest in the value of the handmade in contemporary life as well as the importance of a freshly sharpened pencil. Meg Callahan founded M.Callahan Studio in 2011, which is centered on creating objects that focus on the beauty and complexity of traditional construction. The studio’s main focus is patchwork quilting, and each piece is made with sensitivity to craftsmanship. The pieces are a culmination of traditional processes and experimentation.
