Based in Wilton, Connecticut, Lauren Cotton (b. 1982) graduated with an MFA in Fibers and Fabric Design from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art in 2006 and with a BFA in Textile Design with a Photography Minor from Moore College of Art & Design in 2004.
Read Full BioCotton has had multiple solo exhibitions at many respected venues such as the Bromfield Gallery in Boston, Massachusetts and Delaware Center for the Contemporary Art’s Constance s. & Robert J. Hennessey Space in Wilmington, Delaware. Her work Say Yes was the 2013 Showcase Winner in the Photography Category through ArtSlant New York. Cotton exhibits both nationally and internationally in numerous group shows, most recently with Gallery 263 in Cambridge, MA and with the Cambridge Art Association.
She was awarded an artist’s residency at the Vermont Studio Center in July of 2012 with an exhibition mounted of her completed works while in residence at The Gallery at Three Rivers in Norwich, Connecticut. Cotton also participated in the artist residency program at The Henderson Cultural Center at Hunt Hill Farm in July of 2009. In June of 2014, Cotton participated in the Santa Fe Art Institute Residency program.
