“Seeking to create juxtapositions that reflect an extraordinarily unprecedented moment in time, I experimented with conveying both the quiet and dynamic. This series offers metaphorical and interpretive readings of the opposing forces of order and chaos.” — Gail Tarantino
Gail Tarantino (b. 1958) is a San Francisco Bay-area painter and photographer. Her works focus on thinking of ways to interpret language and its myriad meanings. First creating short narratives or letters, she then translates these written communications into color, coding messages that question the validity of interpretation.
