“What I See Is Not What I Know lives as a sequel to my earlier painting, Courtesy Car. This piece is a glimpse into a world not my own. With images taken from the private terminal at the Oakland International Airport, this piece is composed of imagery I find constantly reoccurring yet consistently distant. ” — Blake Aaseby
