Montreal-based Zoë Pawlak (b. 1982) creates paintings that reflect on the experiences of being human, from individual narratives related to the body and relationships to natural landscapes. Her work is held in the private collections of Cobie Smulders, Trevor Linden, Grace Bonney, Christian Woo, Jodi Balfour, and Joy Cho. Pawlak received her BFA from NSCAD University and studied painting at both Montreal’s Concordia University and the Universidad de Las Americas in Cholula, Mexico.
