Teresa's photographs are made in the studio, where she cuts, folds, glues, and reconstructs photographic prints that she then re-photographs to create disorienting effects.

Endlessly intrigued by this reiteration of landscape, I re-photograph prints of images I have taken of fragments of the nature that integrates itself into my experience. These are not the grand views that roll before us in visions illustrating desire for an unscathed earth. They are often close up observations of flowers, bushes and weeds that sprout up next to paths, in front yards, and at the edge of pavement. I work to emphasize the subjectivity of these perspectives through the physical processes I perform on the printed images in my studio. Cutting, folding, gluing, interjecting with blocks of color, textures and light, I reconstruct each photograph. The resulting iteration recalls its predecessor while underscoring the mediated illusion of the photographic image.
