I am invested in the idea of landscape and how humans relate to their surroundings. My practice explores again and again different ways to represent the landscape in photography.

About the Artist

theresa-christiansen

Teresa Christiansen (b. 1978) was born and raised in New York, NY. Her photographs are made in the studio, where she cuts, folds, glues and reconstructs photographic prints that she then re-photographs to create disorienting effects. Originally trained as a painter, Teresa’s work references the historic relationship photography has had with painting through the genres of still life and landscape.
