Jongjin Park (b. 1982) is a Seoul-based ceramicist. His distinctive process of layering porcelain-soaked tissue paper creates rigid forms that summon the impression of sponges or rough-hewn wood. Once fired, these graphic works are treated with traditional wood-working tools to excavate forms totally unique in the world of ceramics. Park is a PhD candidate at Kookmin University.
